Mount Washington is a pleasant hilly community in the Northeast section of Los Angeles. It includes the Southwest Museum, the sprawling meditation gardens and world headquarters of Self Realization Fellowship (SRF), the highly rated Mt Washington Elementary school, and Eldred Street, one of the three steepest streets in all of Los Angeles. The district is generally considered the most affluent area of Northeast Los Angeles.
