Koreatown

Koreatown is centrally located in Los Angeles, just 3 miles West of Downtown, and 4 miles East of Hollywood. Despite it’s name, Koreatown is ethnically diverse. This cultural combination created a popular LA-born street-food cuisine made popular by Chef Roy Choi’s traveling Korean/Mexican truck ‘Kogi BBQ.’ There are far more condos and apartments in Koreatown than single family homes, and architectural styles range from historic landmarks, to modern high-rises, to the stucco-mundane. Koreatown is home to Southwestern School of Law, and former relics of this area are the Ambassador Hotel and the original Brown Derby.
