The Higgins Building was built when copper magnate Thomas Higgins commissioned famed Architect and future tenant A.C. Martin to build this Beaux-Arts Revival 10-story showpiece. The area was soon to become home to the city’s best social clubs and theaters. The Higgins Building towered above all with its marble-lined hallways, high ceilings and wrought-iron elevator doors.
